Alain B-H Powers

Saxophonist

Alain B-H A passionate saxophonist who, after a winding musical journey, brings the jazz scene to life with his unique presence. Alternating between tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, and EWI, he infuses every note with raw and generous energy, marked by a powerful sound and resolutely modern phrasing. Trained from childhood, then under the guidance of Marc Fontana and later Charles Schneider, he now follows a self-taught path enriched by the work of Chad LB and Chase Baird. He practices daily with an almost monastic intensity. Influenced by Michael Brecker, John Coltrane, Kenny Garrett, and Pat Metheny, he evolves in a modern jazz universe tinged with fusion and funk. Active in several bands (Alain B-H Quintet, Chimera, VVJO Big Band), he has particularly stood out in memorable jam sessions in Cully, Montreux, and Lausanne, where his free and expressive playing never fails to captivate audiences.
